Have You Created Your Google Plus Pages For Business?
A few weeks ago I created two Google Plus Pages For Business.
The search engine optimization for these pages are unmistakable and the plus one feature I found can get your content right up there in the rankings.
I suspect that since it’s now 2012, that this will become more prevalent in the Internet marketing arena also.
Companies and brands are just becoming aware of this info as it has been officially launched by Google and are quickly trying to get in and established.
Have you ever looked at what the plus one feature can do for page rank when you search in Google itself?
Many have no interest in that but…
I know many that work hard, practice SEO techniques and strategies and the hundreds of products available that are for sale on this topic of SEO which just in case you didn’t know, means search engine optimization.
Google Plus Pages For Business
As a business or marketer, you know what social media and the sharing of content can do for business especially if it goes viral.
How many times have you seen a funny video, or an amazing animal video you just cant help but share, only to see it come back to you by someone else that liked it and is compelled to share it also?
Just replace the funny video or animal video with something you liked and shared.
What Google has to Say
In terms of the +1 button, it’s compared to a “Like” on Facebook, and Google offers this viewpoint as far as its impact on SEO:
“Content recommended by friends and acquaintances is often more relevant than content from strangers. For example, a movie review from an expert is useful, but a movie review from a friend who shares your tastes can be even better. Because of this, +1′s from friends and contacts can be a useful signal to Google when determining the relevance of your page to a user’s query. This is just one of many signals Google may use to determine a page’s relevance and ranking, and we’re constantly tweaking and improving our algorithm to improve overall search quality.”
Although Google plus pages for business are still relatively new to most, you may find that your customers or prospective customers aren’t there yet, and maybe your competitors haven’t made it there either.
Think about how you can use your business page and devise a strategy that is different from your other social media platforms.
It’s a lot less crowded than Facebook, Twitter and others with the added benefits of SEO for your profile and content.
